Although many schools have broken up already, for some of us today is the last day. It is always met with mixed feelings: summer stretches before us, but we have to say farewell too. This, also, leaves many teachers with mixed feelings.
I teach at a single form entry school and, for years, was a Year 3 teacher. Two years ago I was moved to Year 5. This has resulted in me teaching the same two years of children twice.
Our Year 6s move on after today. And my Year 5s - who have one day left with me having spent two of the last three in my care - are almost ready to move up to Year 6.
Neither class look old enough in my minds eye to be moving.
I'm sure it will be emotional for many.
Today's question: it's last day of term, so what do you teach?
