I used to teach a fencing club after school, but a knee injury has put that on hold for now. So we asked our Year 6s what they would like, and I now have 17 of them for a "Film Making Club".
This week had them using 6 iPads to record each other lip synch-ing to "Let It Go" and next week we are going to use editing software to splice them together to make a film that involves them all. At least, that is the plan!
In future weeks, the children are going to plan and create their own short films and edit them. There is currently lots of enthusiasm and it was rewarding to see how many of them were really hamming it up today, despite the initial laughter and reticence.
It will be great.
Or, hopefully, everything will be awesome!
Today's question: can you suggest a short film (suitable for pre-teens) that will inspire young film makers?
