For someone who doesn't enjoy DIY or gardening particularly, I have been finding some strange kind of solace in painting my fence.
The house is brand new and, unsurprisingly, so is the fence around part of the back garden. (To clarify, it's part wall and part fence.)
Somehow, in painting the interior (garden facing) side of the fence badly with some blue "fence paint", I've achieved a weathered effect that looks great. Phew!
Today, it was stripping off and making a start in the heat of the day, painting the exterior a more traditional brown.
There is something quite satisfying doing it. Especially as there is no rush.
Forecast for tomorrow is not so good. But the fine weather is due to continue, right?
